Our group chairman Sh. D.N. Gupta is amongst the pioneers in the field of consultancy for tax incentives on exports. He has worked in the past with the indirect taxes wing in the Ministry of Finance. He also has the experience of working with the major industrial houses particularly in the area of exports. Before conceptualising the Simex Group he has worked with various Ministries & Departments under the Ministry of Finance & Ministry of Commerce. On retirement from the Government service he was awarded for being the most distinguished officer by the department for his overall excellent contribution in his area of service.
While working with the export divisions of the Ministries he could foresee our country deserved a bigger and better share of the world trade. He continuously emphasised the need of a trade friendly Foreign Trade Policy. He also emphasised the need of the thrust on infrastructure sector particularly the power sector. With this vision he along with his colleagues ventured in the area of consultancy and named the organisation as SIMEX “Simplified Import Export”.
Currently he is on the advisory panel of leading infrastructure development companies in the area of power projects, highway construction, railways and oil & gas exploration industry companies. He is one of a distinguished creed of first generation entrepreneurs, who has through vision and dedication carved a niche for himself in the industrial environment. It is his ambition to make the SIMEX group a truly professional multinational corporation and according to him this can only be achieved with the support of management, staff members, clients and team work.
